According to Mathilde Ludendorff, the universe is free of supernatural beings like angels and demons.  She was very opposed to superstition. Ludendoff opposed people contemplating the working of the acausal realm because they can never be known.  Because the acausal realm can never be known it is not fair to assert an uncaused god is asserting his will on the universe from without.  Instead, Ludendorff suggests that the "divine" is all permeating in this universe, a will, but has no mystical powers and cannot break the laws of physics. Mathilde said her concept of god had no cognate in any other religion.

"The universe is permeated by the divine essence of all phenomena, which manifests itself in them as will, but is moreover still consciously experienced in man. But the universe is free from devils, angels, demons, and it is also free from personal gods or a personal god who directs it outside the universe. All concepts of God are nothing but unfortunate blunders of human reason. The essence of all phenomena of the universe cannot be imagined and comprehended at all, for our reason can only conceive of something that is appearance. And only to comprehend something which, like the phenomenon, is classified in space and time and causality ..."

Can Mathilde Ludendorff's philosophy stand up to today's science? She said the divine enters the physical universe and becomes subject to the laws of physics, thus Ludendorff's "Knowledge of God" is idolatry. But believed the "divine" started outside time and space
